The grit of a nail file indicates how coarse its surface is. The lower the grit number, the coarser the surface of the file.

• 80 grit: Used for removing acrylic, gel and acrygel. (Caution: if the material is thin, it is preferable to use a finer 100/100 grit file.)
• 100 grit: Used for shaping artificial nails.
• 180 grit: Used for shaping the natural nail and for preparing the natural nail before acrylic or gel application.
• 240 grit: Used for shaping the natural nail and for preparing the natural nail before acrylic or gel application. Suitable for more sensitive nails.
• 320 to 600 grit: Files/buffers in this grit range are used for smoothing and polishing.

1. Select the appropriate side of the file according to the stage of the filing process.
2. File using controlled movements without applying excessive pressure.

Precautions

• Do not use the 100 grit side directly on the surface of the natural nail, as its coarse texture may cause thinning or damage to the nail plate.
• Avoid excessive pressure and prolonged filing in the same area.
• Do not use the file on irritated, injured or infected nails or on the surrounding skin.
• For hygiene reasons, individual use of the nail file is recommended.
