Just like our natural hair, wigs (both natural & synthetic) require proper care in order to remain smooth and soft. Correct maintenance can keep a wig in good condition for more than one year.
Synthetic wigs require less care than natural ones due to their construction. CHRISTIAN ARTESIO wigs are synthetic, but made from high-quality synthetic hair. This means they can be cared for similarly to natural hair.
You can:
wash them
cut them to the desired length and style
use heat styling tools such as a hairdryer, straightener or curling iron

Below you will find a step-by-step guide for the proper care, maintenance and application of a high-quality synthetic wig.
Proper maintenance will keep the wig in good condition for a longer period of time.
The wig should be washed approximately once every 2–3 weeks, depending on how often it is worn.
Use mild care products.
After washing, allow the wig to dry completely.
Brush the wig carefully using a wide-tooth brush, only when it is completely dry.
Do not leave the wig near heat sources and avoid excessive exposure to sunlight.
Avoid sea salt and pool chlorine, as they damage the hair structure.
Avoid excessive brushing and strong teasing.
Technical processes such as bleaching, coloring, perming, etc. are not permitted.
First, gently brush the hair, detangling the ends, using a wide-tooth brush.
Fill a basin with lukewarm water and add a small amount of mild shampoo.
Before placing the wig in the basin, rinse it under running lukewarm water from roots to ends.
If the wig is curly or wavy and you do not want it to lose its original shape, place it in a hair net and then immerse it in the basin.
Submerge the wig in the basin, gently press it and leave it for about 5 minutes.
Apply a small amount of shampoo inside the wig with circular motions.
Rinse the hair under running water with gentle movements, without rubbing.
Spray 10 in 1 Leave-In Conditioner from mid-lengths to ends, without rinsing.
Gently blot the hair with a towel to remove excess water.
Do not wring and do not brush the hair while wet.
Place the wig on its stand and allow it to air-dry naturally, away from any heat source.
Once fully dry, separate the strands using a hair pick.
You can brush the wig just like your natural hair using a wide-tooth comb or brush.
For styling, you may use:
rollers
a hairdryer at medium temperature
a straightener or curling iron at temperatures below 130°C
hair accessories (clips, headbands, etc.)
If the wig was originally curly, you can restore its shape using rollers and hot water.
If the ends feel dry, apply a few drops of Argan Oil.

Gather your natural hair using clips so it stays flat and secure on your head.
Place a hair net over your head to hold all your hair in place.
Adjust the inner clip of the wig so that it is neither too tight nor too loose.
Tilt your head forward and place the wig from the forehead toward the back. Adjust the wig to the correct position.
Brush the hair to achieve the desired shape.
When wearing the wig for the first time, the top may appear frizzy. Follow the steps below for a natural look with volume:
Place the wig on your head.
Hold the wig at the ends while brushing.
Brush the wig several times from front to back.
Brush from roots to ends on one side of the parting.
Brush from roots to ends on the other side of the parting.
Repeat the steps until the wig looks natural with light volume.
To remove the wig, gently hold it from the top or side and pull it off carefully.
